New nearshore and offshore facilities: geological/geotechnical characterization of the project areas, design of the slope excavations and stabilization works for the construction of the new plant terrace (slope height of 70 m). Design of the retaining structures within the terrace area. Definition of a three-dimensional topographic model of the area. Geotechnical design of the reclaiming land area and of the jetty and berthing/mooring piled structures including the evaluation of the soil liquefaction susceptibility. Design of the ground improvement works (stone columns, jet grouting, etc.) for liquefaction improvement of the reclaiming land area. Local seismic site response analyses and 2D-FEM seismic slope stability analyses. Preparation of technical specification for nearshore and offshore additional site investigations (geotechnical and geophysical surveys) and for the geomechanical characterization of the rock cliff.
